In an outstanding display of leadership and vision, Governor ‘Seyi Makinde has once again demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the development of Oyo State.
The recent conversion of ad-hoc staff to permanent positions across the 33 local government councils is a testament to his dedication to workforce stability and the betterment of local governance.
Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, expressed his profound gratitude to Governor Makinde for this transformative decision.
“Governor Makinde has consistently shown that he is a leader who understands the importance of a motivated and permanent workforce.
This move will not only bridge the gap in our local government workforce but will also enhance efficiency and service delivery at the grassroots level,” Olufade stated.
Furthermore, the commissioning of the newly-built Local Government House and Staff Training School at Agodi Secretariat marks a significant milestone in Governor Makinde’s administration.
“This new complex provides a conducive environment for our staff, promoting productivity and professional growth.
Governor Makinde’s innovative approach to local government administration is evident in the numerous developmental projects and policies he has implemented,” Olufade added.
Hon. Olufade also highlighted the governor’s efforts in addressing the backlog of salaries, pensions, and gratuities.
“Under Governor Makinde’s leadership, over N18 billion in pension backlogs and N15 billion in gratuities have been paid, reflecting his commitment to the welfare of our retirees and employees.
His collaborative efforts with local government councils have resulted in the upgrading and equipping of numerous primary healthcare centers and schools, significantly improving the quality of life for our citizens.”
In conclusion, Hon. Olufade urged all residents of Oyo State to continue supporting Governor Makinde with prayers and cooperation as he strives to deliver more dividends of democracy.
“Governor Makinde’s vision and actions have positioned Oyo State on the path of sustainable development and prosperity.
We are proud to have him as our leader,” Olufade affirmed.
