Oluyole Local Government Chairman, Akeem Olatunji, Commended for Outstanding 100 Days in Office – GSM Advocates

The GSM Advocates, a group of stakeholders propagating the good work of Governor Seyi Makinde has praised Oluyole Local Government Chairman, Engr Akeem Olatunji, for his exceptional leadership and achievements within his first 100 days in office. Describing him as an icon of unblemished character, the group highlighted numerous projects and initiatives undertaken under his leadership.

Members of the media team tracked the project made available by the council and we acknowledged that his vision also aligned with the vision of Governor Seyi Makinde for the good people of Oyo State. Within 100 days of office, Oluyole boss was able to reconstruct the council hall as a Grade A Customary Court of Appeal; established Amotekun headquarters; construct boreholes and refurbished generators and vehicles; perimeter fencing of Eid praying ground; established a new market; provide solar lights and food bank palliatives; enhanced security architecture; construct curvets and NYSC (Corpers) Lodge and financial assistance to communities.

Akeem Olatunji’s leadership in Oluyole Local Government has been truly transformative. His social interventions have made a significant impact, with free holiday coaching for students at 4 centers in Oluyole Local Government, empowering the next generation with valuable skills; reintroducing Corpers Lodge for serving NYSC members, ensuring their comfort and well-being; reintroducing imprest for staff of the local government, streamlining financial processes. Significantly, provision of N1 million monthly to staff through NULGE for food bank palliatives, supporting the welfare of local government employees.

With his extensive experience, Akeem Olatunji has achieved remarkable community development milestones by offering financial assistance for Aiyetoro Joint Communities’ security post completion and Challenge Division PCRS Hall; Securing one hectare of land from the Federal Government for Oluyole LG at Odo-Ona Kekere, paving the way for future development.
