Monthly Prayer Holds in Ibadan South West Local Government

Ibadan South West Local Government chapter of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) held its monthly prayer session, with the Chairman, Honourable Kehinde Akande, leading the congregation in prayers for sound sustainable development in the council.
The prayer session, which took place at the council’s headquarters, was attended, Vice Chairman of the Council, Honourable Tajudeen Adigun Àtú, union members, council officials, Supervisory Councillors, Special Assistants and other stakeholders. Honourable Akande, in his opening remarks, emphasized the importance of seeking divine guidance and intervention in the council’s endeavors.
“We recognize that our human efforts alone are not enough to achieve sustainable development,” Honourable Akande said. “That’s why we’re coming together to pray for divine guidance, wisdom, and intervention to help us make informed decisions and take effective actions that will benefit our council and its people.”
The prayer session focused on several key areas, including economic growth, social stability, and environmental sustainability. Honourable Akande prayed for the council to attract more investments, create jobs, and improve the overall standard of living for residents.
NULGE members also prayed for peace, harmony, and cooperation among council officials, union members, and the general public, recognizing that a stable and peaceful environment is essential for sustainable development.
Furthermore, Honourable Akande prayed for the council to adopt environmentally friendly practices, reduce waste, and promote sustainable resource management.
Honourable Akande stressed that the union is committed to supporting the council’s efforts to achieve sustainable development. He pledged that NULGE would continue to provide a platform for members to contribute their expertise, ideas, and resources to drive positive change in the council.
“We believe that sustainable development is a collective responsibility,” Honourable Akande said. “As union members, we’re committed to doing our part to ensure that our council becomes a model of sustainable development, where everyone can thrive and prosper.”
