PHOTOS: Ibadan Cultural Festival: A Resounding Success, Says Elétù in Tribute to Olubadan, CCII

Hon.Kehinde Adeyemi Akande, Elétù 1, the Executive Chairman Ibadan South West Local Government has joined the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) to celebrate the grand finale and congratulates them on its annual festivities.

As part of the celebration, Council boss extends warm greetings to the Governor, Olubadan, President CCII, son and daughters of Ibadanland

“I felicitate with our esteemed Governor, His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde,for his tireless efforts in developing our dear State**I also congratulates Olubadan of Ibadanland Oba Owolabi Olakulehin,thePresident of CCII Chief Sulaiman Adeniyi Adewole for his leadership in promoting our rich cultural heritage,to the sons and daughters of Ibadan land, *I wish you joy, peace, and prosperity on this special day and always,”*Hon. Akande said.

Council boss also noted that CCII’s annual celebration is a vibrant showcase of Ibadan’s cultural identity, featuring music, dance, and art, which is remarkable in lives of every Ibadan indigenes

Earlier in His keynote address, the Governor of Oyo State Engr Seyi Makinde who was accompanied by His deputy Chief Bayo Lawal, His darling wife Engr Mrs Tamunonini Olufunke Makinde congratulated sons and daughters of Ibadan, CCII president Chief Adewole and the entire citizens of Oyo State

Governor Makinde further noted that, creation of Ibadan State and the upgrade of Alakia Airport to international Airport is in the pipeline and will soon come to reality. He therefore appealed to everyone who will participate in the protest scheduled for August to do it peacefully in order not to turn it to riot.

The Political Head/ Administrator of Ibadan West LCDA who doubles as the Vice Chairman Ibadan South West LG,Hon Adigun Tajudeen Adeniyi in his goodwill message rejoiced with the entire indigenes of Ibadanland and wishes everyone a fun filled celebration.

Furthermore, the Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaja Olatoyosi Amudat Salau who was ably represented by Director of Education and Social Services Mrs Folasade Odekanmi congratulated all Ibadan indigenes both home and abroad, urged them to always be good ambassadors wherever they find themselves and prayed for many more of this celebration on earth.

Hon.Akande then appreciated everyone for their support for this present administration in Oyo State solicited for more to continue to enjoy dividends of democracy at all time.

Present at the occasion from Ibadan South West LG were the leader of the house Hon, Adewale Adelodun Asela, Honourable Councilors, Chief of Staff, Alhaji Hazzan Bello, Supervisory Councilors, Special Assistants, Directors, Deputies,Unit Heads,CDC members market men and women.
