Ona Ara LG Chair, Dr GLORIOUS Inspects Ariyo Bridge Filling, Lauds Governor Makinde for Completing First Phase of Olorunsogo-Dagbolu Road Project

The Executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Dr. Temitope Kolapo Glorious, has lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for the completion of the first phase of the Olorunsogo-Dagbolu road rehabilitation project, which stopped at Ariyo. During his inspection of the filling and leveling of the Ariyo bridge to ease the movement of the people, Dr. Glorious also commended Peculiar Engineering Company, the contractor handling the project, for a job well done, as previously discussed with one of their engineers, Engr. Eleta.

This was gathered from a press statement signed by his Press Secretary, Mr. Rahmon Alawode, and made available to newsmen on Saturday morning in Ibadan.

The Chairman, Dr. Temitope Glorious, who spent almost three hours during the inspection controlling traffic to ensure the smooth movement of people, said the rehabilitation of the Ariyo bridge had become necessary as a temporary measure before the second phase of the road continues after the Ariyo bridge to the Dagbolu boundary of Ibadan and Ogun State.

“One of my major campaign promises was to provide social services to the people and ensure that the environment was kept clean at all times,” he said.

The Chairman noted that without good roads there “can’t be development in any community, especially areas surrounded by commercial activities.”

According to him, the state government under Governor Seyi Makinde has ample investment opportunities, and it is necessary to ensure that the environment is conducive for investors.

“When you have a good road network, it opens doors for industrialists and investors, particularly those interested in tourist resorts and recreational centers.”

He added that Ona Ara Local Government has the highest landmass in the entire territory, suitable for setting up any kind of industry, but that without good roads, there wouldn’t be development.

He said his administration is open to the great sons and daughters of Ona Ara Local Government and beyond who are investors, encouraging them to bring their investments to the fastest-growing Local Government in Oyo State.

Dr. Glorious maintained that the second phase of the Olorunsogo-Dagbolu Road will commence soon, as it has been duly approved by the hardworking Governor Seyi Makinde.
