The Oyo State Government, led by Governor Seyi Makinde, successfully hosted a Jumat Service at the Central Mosque in Ibadan as part of the state’s 64th Independence Day celebrations. The well-attended service featured special prayers for Nigeria’s progress, inspirational messages from Islamic scholars, and emphasis on national unity and peaceful co-existence.
The service brought together notable dignitaries, including Mr. Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, Honourable Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, and Alh. Akeem Azeez, Personal Assistant to the Governor.
Governor Makinde has consistently emphasized the importance of unity and progress in Nigeria. In his previous Independence Day addresses, he urged Nigerians to work together towards a better future.
