The Oyo State Government, led by Governor Seyi Makinde, successfully hosted a Jumat Service at the Central Mosque in Ibadan as part of the state’s 64th Independence Day celebrations. The well-attended service featured special prayers for Nigeria’s progress, inspirational messages from Islamic scholars, and emphasis on national unity and peaceful co-existence.

The service brought together notable dignitaries, including Mr. Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, Honourable Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, and Alh. Akeem Azeez, Personal Assistant to the Governor.

Governor Makinde has consistently emphasized the importance of unity and progress in Nigeria. In his previous Independence Day addresses, he urged Nigerians to work together towards a better future.

Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Honourable Mogbonjubola Olawale Jagaban AbdulMajeed demonstrates the government’s dedication to promoting interfaith harmony and cooperation as Governor Makinde’s administration reaffirms its commitment to unity, progress, and the well-being of all Oyo State residents.

According to Honourable Wasilat Adegoke, Commissioner for Youth and Sports, the Jumat service is one of the highlights of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration’s Independence Day celebration, demonstrating the governor’s dedication to fostering a united and harmonious Oyo State.

The Oyo State Government expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic participation and support from the Islamic community, community leaders, and all attendees.
