A leading aspirant for the House of Representatives seat to represent the good people of Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency in the forthcoming 2027 general elections, Hon. (Dr.) Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji (OTOPE), recently held a strategic engagement meeting with members of support groups loyal to the Okanlomo of Oodua and Badah Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi (JDS).

The meeting, which took place at the OTOPE Foundation Office, Sheriff Bus Stop, Alawaye, Akanran Road, Ibadan, brought together representatives of various JDS Support Groups, including JDS Teachers Forum, JDS Market Traders, JDS Artisans, JDS Community Organisation, JDS Youth, and JDS Students.
It will be recalled that Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi had earlier publicly endorsed Dr. Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji (OTOPE) for the House of Representatives seat for Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency, a development that has continued to generate strong grassroots momentum and political mobilisation across the constituency.

While addressing the gathering, Dr. OTOPE warmly welcomed members of the JDS Support Groups and expressed profound appreciation to the Okanlomo of Oodua for his unwavering support and open endorsement of his aspiration. He described the endorsement as a strong vote of confidence, which further strengthens the collective determination to pursue people-oriented, responsive, and impactful representation for the constituency.


Speaking on behalf of the JDS Support Groups, Aare Alawode Rahmon Akintunde reaffirmed the group’s loyalty to the leadership of Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, noting that their presence at the meeting was a clear demonstration of their commitment to the political direction of their leader.
According to him, “We are not here by accident. Once our leader and father, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has spoken, we do not have anyone else to consult about our next political move. He is a man of proven character and capacity and remains a major factor in the political landscape of Oyo State today.”

Other representatives present at the meeting included Comrade Williams Abiola (JDS Teachers Forum), Comrade Abidemi (Oyo Market Traders), Mr. Abiola (JDS Community Organisation), Comrade Adebis Dayo Man’D (JDS Artisans), Comrade Oladimeji Ibrahim (JDS Youth), and Comrade Solomon Oyinlola (JDS Students).

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment by the JDS Support Groups to intensify grassroots mobilisation and political engagement across communities in Egbeda and Ona Ara Local Government Areas, with the shared goal of ensuring a resounding electoral victory for Dr. Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji (OTOPE) in the forthcoming elections.
