You’re Our Hero; Oyo Rep Oshine lauds Sen Buhari, Gbadegesin as Tinubu Approves federal university in Okeogun

The Okeogun community rejoices as President Bola Tinubu has finally signed the bill establishing the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho. This monumental achievement is a testament to the tireless efforts of Senator Fatai Buhari and Professor Segun Gbadegesin, who played instrumental roles in ensuring the successful creation of this esteemed institution.

Hon. Oyeshina Oyedeji, a member of the federal House of representatives, a proud son of Okeogun, has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Senator Buhari and Professor Gbadegesin for their selfless and heroic efforts. The bill, which was sponsored by Senator Buhari, underwent a rigorous legislative process since 2017, including public hearings. Professor Gbadegesin’s close relationship with the President proved pivotal in securing the bill’s approval.

Hon. Oyedeji also extended his gratitude to the Minister for Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, the Senate President, Sen. Godswill Akpabio, the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, and everyone who contributed to the successful creation of the University.

The lawmaker congratulated the Onjo of Okeho, HRM Oba Rafiu Osuolale Mustapha Adeitan II, the Egbe Omo Ibile Okeho, and the entire indigenes of Okeho on this remarkable achievement. He opined that the University will transform the economy of Okeho and Okeogun, creating new opportunities for growth and development.

Hon. Oyedeji urged the youths of Okeogun to seize the opportunities that this University will bring, emphasizing the importance of tapping into the resources and expertise that will be available. He expressed confidence that this institution will be a game-changer for the community, and he looks forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on the lives of Okeogun indigenes.
