The Executive Chairman of Ona Ara Local Government, Dr. Temitope Kolapo Glorious, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting community-building and development initiatives across Ona Ara Local Government.
Dr. Glorious gave this assurance while speaking at the official unveiling of the newly established Palupo Kingdom, organized by the Palupo General Community, Asolo Area, off Akanran Road, Ibadan.
Addressing community leaders, residents, and invited dignitaries at the colourful ceremony, Dr. Glorious described the emergence of Palupo Kingdom as a symbol of unity, vision, and grassroots development, noting that the community continues to set a remarkable example of progressive leadership.
“You are making us proud. The growth and organization of Palupo Kingdom show what is possible when a community is driven by unity, purpose, and a shared vision for development,” he said.
The Council Chairman expressed his admiration for the innovative strides being recorded under the patronship of Alhaji F.A. Azeez, who was recently recognized by the local government as Ambassador of Progress in December 2025. He assured the leadership and residents that communities under the Palupo General would continue to receive due recognition and consideration in the local government’s developmental plans.
Dr. Glorious also congratulated the newly inaugurated executives of Palupo Kingdom, led by their Emperor, Alhaji Isiaka Ayinla, and urged them to sustain the tempo of growth, peace, and cooperation within the community.
In his remarks, the Patron and Grand Commander of Palupo Kingdom, Alhaji F.A. Azeez, praised the love, unity, and progressive leadership of Palupo community leaders. He recounted his journey with the community from the early 1990s when he acquired land in the area, built his home, and developed several properties around Ibadan, choosing Palupo as his place of residence.
He described Ibadan as a great city that has played a vital role in his personal, human, and professional development, adding that Palupo Kingdom remains a community he is proud to call home.
One of the major highlights of the event was the award of recognition and royal decoration of the Royal Father of the Day, Baale Alawaye, who was formally installed as the Baale of Palupo Kingdom. The programme also featured special honours to families and relatives of departed souls within the community in appreciation of their contributions to Palupo’s growth.
Dignitaries present at the ceremony included the Chairman of Palupo General, Prince Dada D’Real Halleluyah; Alhaji Yakub Giwa (G’ Capital); Alhaji Olororo; Alhaji Okugbaja; and Olori Odo (Aare) Alawode Rahmon Akintunde, among others.
The unveiling of Palupo Kingdom marked a historic milestone for the Asolo Area community, reinforcing its resolve to pursue sustainable development, peaceful coexistence, and inclusive leadership under the Palupo General platform.
