The forum of local government secretaries in Oyo State has joined family, friends, and political associates to celebrate the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. (Chief) Obafemi Ademola Ojo, fondly known as Ijaya, on the occasion of his 63rd birthday.

In their goodwill message, the forum described Hon. Ijaya as a seasoned administrator and political leader who has remained a pillar of strength in grassroots governance. They noted that his tenure as Commissioner has significantly advanced Governor Seyi Makinde’s vision of sustainable development at the local government level.
According to the secretaries, Hon. Ijaya has not only upheld but also expanded the legacy of Governor Makinde by fostering inclusiveness, strengthening local government institutions, and promoting harmony between the councils and traditional rulers across the state.

They further commended his past role as a former Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) Oyo State chapter and Ibarapa political chieftain where he built a reputation as a bridge-builder and defender of democratic ideals.

“Hon. Ijaya is a true reflection of loyalty, service, and capacity. At 63, he stands tall as one of the finest examples of committed public service in Oyo State. His contributions will remain indelible in the annals of grassroots administration,” the forum stated.
They prayed for his continued good health, wisdom, and strength, while reaffirming their support for his efforts in consolidating the developmental strides of Governor Makinde’s administration.
