Hon. Stephen Fapetu has warmly welcomed former Oyo State Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, into the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), describing his defection as a significant boost to the party’s strength and vision.

Fapetu hailed Adekanmbi as a seasoned technocrat and a grassroots-connected political figure whose decision to join the PDP reflects the party’s growing appeal and its steadfast commitment to inclusive and people-centered leadership.
He noted that Adekanmbi’s pedigree, competence, and proven record of service would further enrich the party’s structure as it continues to deliver impactful governance across Oyo State.

According to him, the PDP remains a home for progressive minds who are passionate about development and the collective good, adding that Adekanmbi’s move is both timely and commendable.


Hon. Fapetu assured the new decampee of maximum cooperation and solidarity from party faithful, urging him to deploy his wealth of experience to strengthen the party ahead of future political engagements.
