In a heartwarming display of community commitment and a hope to learn, the Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen, has sponsored 100 indigent students for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exam, urging the beneficiaries to work diligently and make their community proud as they pursue their educational dreams.

The initiative, which seeks to support underprivileged students in the area, is part of the chairman’s efforts to promote education and provide equal opportunities for students who may otherwise face barriers in accessing higher education.

In a statement made available during the free registration process on Tuesday, Hon. Kamorudeen expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the beneficiaries for their resilience and determination to succeed. He emphasized that the local government is committed to the welfare and progress of its people.

The statement in brief;

“This opportunity marks an important milestone in the 100 indigent students’ academic journey. This is not just about a free registration for JAMB, it is an opportunity for each one of them to break barriers and carve out a successful future. We are hopeful that the hundred of them will utilize this support to excel in their studies, and in return, uplift the community with their achievements”, he stated.

The Chairman further reminded the students that their success would serve as an inspiration to other young people in the community, encouraging them to remain focused, disciplined, and dedicated to their education.

The free JAMB registration program, which covers the cost of the examination fees for the hundred selected students, is part of a broader educational support scheme by the Lagelu Local Government. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden on families and ensure that deserving students do not miss out on opportunities for higher education due to financial constraints.

Beneficiaries of the program expressed their deep appreciation for the gesture. One of the indigent students, Olajide Esther, who has dreams of becoming a medical doctor, shared, _”This support means so much to me and my family. It gives me the hope that I can pursue my dreams without worrying about the financial aspect. I promise to work hard and make sure that this opportunity leads me to success.”_

Another indigent beneficiary, Olayemi Faridah shared: _”I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity. Coming from a family that struggles to make ends meet, this support has lifted a huge burden off my shoulders. Raphael Enoch, another proud beneficiary also shared; _”This gesture means the world to me. Without it, I would have had to postpone my plans for higher education. With such initiatives, the Lagelu Local Government under the transformative leadership of Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to empowering the youth, ensuring that no child in Lagelu is left behind in the pursuit of education.
