The wife of the Executive Chairman of Egbeda local government, Alhaja Monsurat Abiola Sanda has flagged off the distribution of 2025 Insecticide-Treated net and decorated as the NET AMBASSADOR of Egbeda local government.


Mrs Sanda was decorated at the official flag off ceremony of the 2025 Insecticide Treated Net held at Primary Health Centre at Alakia in Ibadan.
In her remarks, the chairperson emphasized the significance of the initiative, highlight the devastating impact of malaria on children and the need for the collective action to combat the deadly disease.

As the newly decorated NET AMBASSADOR for the flag off of the net, she pledged to continue advocating for the use of Insecticide-Treated net and other malaria prevention strategies.


The chairperson appealed to expectant women, mothers, and children to ensure they sleep under Insecticide Treated Net consistently to avoid preventable deaths caused by malaria.

Noting that the nets are lightweight with breathable mesh and to be used every night after being spread for 24 hours in the fresh air as we know that malaria is a life treatening disease caused by a parasite that is transmitted by a person through the bites of malaria.
Mrs Sanda commended the effort of the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde for his proactiveness that has resulted in the huge success in the state’s response to malaria prevalence which dropped drastically in Oyo State under the watch of the governor to his commitment to the antimalarial in the state.

Dignitaries at the event were wife of the vice chairman of Egbeda local government, Alhaja Idowu Oladebo, Dr. Oyedare Elizabeth(MOH), wives of the councilors, Evang. Suberu (Super for Health), Mrs Iyanda Shakirat(Super),Mrs Bosede Ilugbaro (DESS), Mrs Felicia Olaniyan, Mr. Effiong (Egbeda LG coordinator), Mrs Fakeye Racheal(RBM), Mrs Akintunde(Health Educator) and all other medical officers.
