Standing on Principle: Ife Ona-Ara Signals Resistance to Scripted and Unfair Consensus Move

PUBLIC STATEMENT

My dear leaders, party faithful, and the good people of Ona Ara,

I have taken note of recent developments and conversations surrounding the process of selecting a consensus candidate for our party.

Let me state clearly, respectfully, and without ambiguity:

I remain fully in the race.

My aspiration is not built on personal ambition alone, but on years of loyalty, sacrifice, and consistent service to our party and the people of Ona Ara.

In 2019 and 2023, I made difficult decisions in the interest of party unity and progress. Those decisions were taken in good faith, out of respect for leadership, and with a sincere commitment to peace within our great party.

However, leadership and followership must always be guided by fairness, justice, and due process.

While I hold our leaders in the highest regard and remain committed to the unity of our party, I must respectfully state that I will not submit to any form of pressure or arrangement that does not reflect equity, consultation, and the collective interest of our party members and the good people of Ona Ara.

The strength of our party lies in its internal democracy and the confidence of its members.

I believe strongly that every aspirant deserves a fair and credible process, free from imposition or undue influence.

My commitment remains unwavering:

– To the unity of our party
– To the progress of Ona Ara
– And to the trust of the people who have stood with us over the years

I therefore reaffirm my intention to continue this journey with dignity, courage, and absolute respect for the democratic process.

Together, we will continue to build a stronger, more inclusive, and people-driven political future.
