South West PDP Demonstrates Unity and Strength in Zonal Congress— Ibarapakan

Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has congratulated Alhaji Kamorudeen Ajisafe on his reelection as the South West Zonal Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The political party held its South West Zonal Congress on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at the Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan.

In his congratulatory text on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, Hon. Adepoju described the unopposed reelection of Alhaji Ajisafe as a welcome development and a way to appreciate his efforts in stabilising the PDP in South West Nigeria through his office.

The lawmaker, who was also a delegate at the congress, praised Gov. Makinde for hosting the event, describing the peaceful conduct of all the delegates from across all the states in South West Nigeria as a demonstration of love, peaceful coexistence, peace and unity that exists among the South West PDP family.

He also congratulated all of the newly elected Zonal Executive Officers, expressing confidence that they would go above and beyond in carrying out the obligations that come with their positions.

According to him, the success of the South West Zonal Congress on Wednesday demonstrates that the South West PDP is formidable and a party to beat in the geopolitical zone and beyond.

The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character attributed the stability of the party to the shared interests and mutual understanding among the leaders of the party, including Gov. Seyi Makinde, whom he described as a bridge builder and whose leadership acumen has been instrumental to most of the development strides achieved in the party since his election as the Governor of Oyo State.

The lawmaker, however, prayed for the success of the party in all elections across Nigeria going forward.
