The SOLUTIONS 2027 political movement continues to gather momentum across Oyo State as the renowned media entrepreneur and philanthropist stormed the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) weekly meeting in Ibadan NorthWest Local Government.
The well-attended meeting, which took place at Ebenezer Primary School, Ekotedo, brought together party leaders, stakeholders, and grassroots members from all eleven wards in the local government. Oloye Adegoke, who is the Aare Egbe Omo Balogun of Ibadanland and Chairman of Solutions 93.9 FM, received a rousing welcome from the party leadership, led by the Ibadan NorthWest PDP Chairman, Hon. Lukman Adesina, popularly known as Alaga Mewa.
Though a native of Ibadan SouthWest Local Government and the Mogaji of Abosé Compound, Gege, Oloye Adegoke’s visit to Ibadan NorthWest, an adjoining LGA within the same federal constituency, highlighted his expanding political influence and statewide appeal.
In his address to the enthusiastic crowd, Oloye Adegoke reaffirmed his desire to lead Oyo State as governor, citing his deep passion for public service, inclusive governance, infrastructural development, and economic empowerment.
He applauded the current administration under Governor Seyi Makinde, commending his holistic developmental strides and describing him as a true Governor of the people.
“I am for incremental development,” he declared.
As a demonstration of his commitment to the PDP and grassroots mobilization, Oloye Adegoke made a generous financial contribution totaling ₦11 million.
His donation breakdown included ₦500,000 to each of the 11 wards, ₦2 million to party leaders, ₦1 million to the youth wing, ₦1 million to the women’s wing, and ₦1.5 million to the local government executives.
Additionally, in a thoughtful gesture of appreciation, Oloye Adegoke pledged to construct a borehole in honor of Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, the Oyo State PDP Secretary, who hails from Ibadan NorthWest.
In his remark, Oyo state PDP secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke praised the current administration of Governor Seyi Makinde, describing him as a blessing to Oyo State.
He welcomed Oloye Adegoke warmly and hailed him as a man of “Omoluabi ethos” with no trace of dubious character.
He assured the PDP faithful that the party is poised to receive a wave of notable defectors from the opposition before the upcoming party congress in four months.
According to him, Governor Makinde’s governance style is a magnet for high-caliber individuals.
Dr. Remi Ayodele, a member of the Oyo State Elders Council, also spoke glowingly of Oloye Adegoke, describing him as a man of vision who consistently champions development and supports the continuity of Governor Makinde’s strides.
In his remarks, Hon. Rahman Adepoju, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan NorthWest Local Government, advised Adegoke to maintain a strong, cordial relationship with the governor.
He emphasized that the local government would only support aspirants who embody the progressive qualities of Governor Seyi Makinde.
He further described Oloye Adegoke as a humble man with an impressive record.
