Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, on Saturday morning, paid a condolence visit to the Iyaganku residence of the late former leader of PDP, Alhaji Chief Yekini Adeojo.

Chief Adeojo died after a brief illness at his Iyaganku residence in Ibadan last Friday. He has been buried in Islamic rites as well as given a befitting burial Yesterday at the recreation center, Ibadan, with family, friends, dignitaries and political associates in attendance.
Obasanjo was received by the Ido local government chairman, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, and other members of the family.

The former president, in a condolence message, described the late Chief Adeojo as one of the few loyal party men during his time as Nigeria’s president, elected under the umbrella of PDP.

Responding on behalf of the family, the Ido council chair, Sheriff Adeojo
said what the former President did with the visit was a demonstration of genuine love and appreciation to their late father’s kindness when he was alive, especially in active politics.

” We appreciate the former president, His Excellency Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo for the condolence visit, it shows how much he valued our daddy when he was alive. Chief Obasanjo came all the way from Abeokuta out of deep love and concern.
“The family appreciates Your Excellency, and it is our prayer that Almighty God will preserve you more for the country and for Yoruba in particular, Thank you sir.” Sheriff Adeojo said.
