A prominent socio-political support group, Seyi Makinde Disciples (SMD), has extended heartfelt congratulations to the people and government of Oyo State on the successful commissioning of the Ibadan Central Bus Terminal, described as the biggest and most modern in the South-West region of Nigeria.
In a goodwill message released and jointly signed by the group’s Convener, Prince Laja Adeoye, and its Spokesman, Olusegun C.A. Taiwo (OCAT), the SMD lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for his visionary leadership and commitment to infrastructural transformation in the state.
According to the statement, “We congratulate the good people and government of Oyo State, ably led by Governor Seyi Makinde, on the commissioning of the Ibadan Central Bus Terminal — a landmark project that will bring orderliness and enhance a coordinated transportation system across the state.”
The group noted that the project is another testament to the governor’s developmental strides, which continue to place Oyo State on the map of progress and modern governance.
They further commended Governor Makinde for prioritizing people-centered initiatives that improve the quality of life and boost economic activities within the state.
“This iconic terminal is not just an infrastructure; it is a legacy of foresight, planning, and excellence — a reflection of the Makinde administration’s sustainable development agenda,” the group added.
