The Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Senator Yunus Akintunde, has extended warm felicitations to Senator Abdulfatah Omotayo Buhari on the occasion of his birthday.
In a statement released to the media by Kunle Olatunji, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Senator Yunus Akintunde, the lawmaker described Senator Abdulfatah Buhari as “a consummate grassroots politician and a compassionate leader with a kind disposition toward humanity, who has demonstrated uncommon commitment to the service of his people.”
Senator Akintunde commended Senator Buhari’s numerous empowerment programmes and human capacity development initiatives, noting that they have significantly contributed to the growth and development of Oyo North Senatorial District, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large.
He added that he remains particularly impressed by Senator Buhari’s recent achievement in sponsoring the bill that facilitated the establishment of the Federal University of Agriculture in Okeho, among several other impactful legislative interventions and commendable scorecard as a Senator.
Reflecting on their shared political journey, Senator Akintunde said: “I recollect with nostalgia our days as young politicians and trajectory of our shared values on quality governance and leadership.
You have remained consistent to this day in demonstrating exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to serving the people in every capacity you have held. Your immense contributions to the political system and governance at different levels have greatly shaped your towering status as a three-term serving Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
Senator Akintunde further stated:“I rejoice and celebrate with you today as you mark another year of God’s immense benevolence in your life. I pray that the Almighty will continue to bless you and grant the desires of your heart.”
He added a prayer: “May the years ahead bring you more of God’s abundant blessings, in excellent health and long life.”
