The constituents of Ibadan SouthEast/NorthEast are currently rejoicing and basking in the euphoria of the additional solar-powered street lights installed by the federal lawmaker representing the constituency, Rep. Abass Adigun Agboworin, which have been powered to illuminate the communities across the constituency.

The installations were, before now, carried out in all the 24 wards of the constituency.

This significant initiative, which emphasizes the crucial role of lighting in community development, would continue to boost security, promote economic progress, and reduce nocturnal criminalities in the areas that have been shrouded in darkness.

With the project, Rep. Agboworin has taken a giant leap towards fulfilling his campaign promise to improve essential infrastructure in his constituency, thereby creating a brighter and more prosperous future for his constituents.

The installation of the additional street lights commenced from Oke-Dada to Mapo Police Station down to every other part of the communities in Ward 1 area of Ibadan South East LG.

Some other locations covered so far include the Ile Ajimobi, Inakoju street to Afolabi junction (behind), Idi-Arere in Ward 2 and Esu Awele to Kobiowu in Ward 3 area of the local government area.

In Ward 4, the Akadiri community, Kobomoje and Suliya Adedeji road are also part of the locations witnessing this development, as well as the Itaege-Idi-Aro junction in Ward 5.

Some units of the streetlights were equally added to the existing ones on Ayedaade road in Ward 6 to have a full coverage of the community.

Dark spots around these benefiting communities have been illuminated, which would practically translate to boosting the economic activities and reduce crimes in the areas.

The project, among other numerous ones he had facilitated in his constituency, would continue to enhance the quality of lives of the people.

Some of the beneficiaries, during the installation, were seen expressing gratitude to the lawmaker, and welcoming the intervention with open arms as they described the project as an “additional gift that will continue to transform their communities.”

“We thank him for bringing more light to our community. We thank him for the ones he has done before and the ones he is currently doing. May he never know darkness in his own life too,” a resident said.

Over the past years, Rep. Agboworin has been actively involved in carrying out empowerment projects that have affected the lives of many constituents, and advancing infrastructure.
