A member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Abiodun Babalola Integrity, PhD, has praised Governor Seyi Makinde over the appointment of Prof. Musibau Babatunde as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), describing the move as a reward for competence, character, and results-driven leadership.

In a congratulatory message on Tuesday, Hon. Babalola, who represents Ibadan North East Constituency 1, said the elevation of Prof. Babatunde from commissioner to SSG reflects Governor Makinde’s commitment to building enduring institutions through capable individuals.

According to him, the appointment underscores the importance of system-building anchored on integrity and proven capacity, noting that virtue still has a place in leadership.

He commended the governor for consistently backing his words with action, stating that the administration has demonstrated sufficient capacity to translate governance principles into tangible outcomes.

Hon. Babalola congratulated Prof. Babatunde on his promotion and expressed confidence in his ability to deliver in his new role, while also offering prayers for the governor, whom he described as a leader whose kind should multiply across leadership spaces in the country.
