  • Rep Oseni Illuminates Ido Town with Solar Street Lights

In a bid to enhance safety and security, the lawmaker representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency, Engr. Aderemi Oseni has taken a bold step by erecting solar street lights in Ido town of Ido local government, Oyo state.

The initiative, aimed at addressing the longstanding issue of inadequate lighting in the area, has garnered praise from residents who have long clamoured for improved infrastructure to combat the challenges posed by darkness.

Speaking on the project, the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), in a statement on Wednesday by his media aide, Idowu Ayodele, expressed commitment to the welfare of his constituents, emphasising the importance of sustainable solutions to community development.

“The installation of these solar street lights is not just about illuminating the streets; it’s about providing a sense of security and comfort for the people of Ido. This initiative aligns with our vision for a safer and more prosperous community,” remarked Oseni.

The solar-powered street lights, strategically positioned across key areas of Ido town, are expected to significantly reduce incidents of crime and accidents, while also improving visibility for motorists and pedestrians alike.

Also, the statement added that the adoption of solar energy underscores Oseni’s commitment to environmental sustainability and the promotion of renewable energy solutions.

Responding to the development, residents of Ido town expressed their gratitude towards the lawmaker, noting the positive impact the project will have on their daily lives.

“We are thankful to Hon. Oseni for his proactive approach towards addressing the challenges facing our community. These solar street lights will not only enhance safety but also contribute to the beautification of our town,” said a resident.
