Rep. Agboworin has done enough for our people, they are feeling his impact – Mutalib Ojo, SAN

A former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Oyo State, Barrister Mutalib Adebayo Ojo, SAN, has lauded the lawmaker representing Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency, Rep. Abass Adigun (Agboworin), for his outstanding performance, saying the people are feeling his impact.

He gave the commendation during an interview with the Nigerian Tribune, stating that Agboworin has outperformed all previous representatives of the constituency since 1999, citing his impressive achievements in infrastructural development.

Barrister Ojo, who served under the administration of the late governor Abiola Ajimobi, added that the achievements of the past representatives, if added together, cannot match the outstanding record of Agboworin in the constituency.

In his words: “Believe me, from 1999 till date, all the Rep members that represented my constituency, if you put their records together, they cannot match the record of Agboworin.”

He noted that Agboworin, leveraging his office, has covered the entire constituency with solar-powered streetlights and constructed roads.

The learned silk maintained that Agboworin has equally constructed several schools and established extra-mural centers, demonstrating his commitment to improving education in the constituency.

He said: “I was in the constituency recently and this gentleman has covered the entire constituency with streetlights. And he is now reconstructing the roads. He has constructed several schools and established extra-mural centres and he pays teachers.

“He obtained WAEC forms, JAMB forms for our people free of charge and engaged teachers to be teaching them. He has also constructed several boreholes. So, what else do I need? What can anybody else do more than that? My people are feeling his impact and I am supporting him.”

He explained that he does not vote for candidate based on political affiliation but on performance.

“I don’t vote on party basis. Hon. Abass Adigun (Agboworin), who is my Rep member in the North East/South East contested against my party member and I voted for him. I voted against Dapo Lam Adesina, our own candidate. I voted for PDP. So, that is just it,” he concluded.
