As the Oyo State Hospitals Management Board just launched its recruitment portal for healthcare professionals, inviting applications from qualified individuals, the the Board’s Chairman, Dr. Akin Fagbemi, has cautioned the public to be wary of scammers who may create fake portals to defraud unsuspecting applicants.
In a statement on Thursday, Dr. Fagbemi said: “It has come to our attention that there may be individuals or groups posing as recruiters for the Oyo State Hospitals Management Board.’
“These scammers may create fake recruitment portals or make unsolicited phone calls or emails to prospective candidates, offering fake job openings in exchange for a fee.”
“Please note that the Oyo State Hospitals Management Board does not charge any fee for recruitment, and all applications should be made through the official website: https://jobportal.oyostate.gov.ng/hmb2024.”
“We urge the public to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to the relevant authorities.”
The chairman emphasised the importance of transparency and due process in the recruitment process, reiterating that the Board is committed to ensuring that only the most qualified and deserving candidates are hired.
“The Board is dedicated to maintaining the highest level of integrity in our recruitment process. We urge all applicants to be cautious and vigilant when applying for positions. Do not be tempted by offers that seem too good to be true.”
“If you have any doubts about the authenticity of a recruitment offer, please contact us through our official channels for clarification,” he advised.
