RAMADAN MESSAGE BY HON. ABEEB IDOWU BALOGUN

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

All praise is due to Allah who has granted us the opportunity to witness yet another blessed month of Ramadan—a month filled with mercy, forgiveness, and divine elevation.

As we embark on this sacred journey, I, Hon. Abeeb Idowu Balogun, extend my heartfelt greetings to all Muslim faithful in Oyo State and across Nigeria. Ramadan transcends mere fasting; it is a time for spiritual renewal, self-discipline, sacrifice, and a deeper connection with Allah (SWT).

Allah says in the Glorious Qur’an:

“O you who believe! Fasting has been prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become righteous.” (Qur’an 2:183).

This holy month urges us to be steadfast in prayer, enhance our remembrance of Allah, extend charity to those in need, and engage in sincere repentance. It is a unique opportunity to purify our hearts, fortify our faith, and realign our lives towards peace, unity, and progress.

Let us seize this sacred time to draw closer to Allah through consistent prayers, diligent recitation of the Qur’an, acts of kindness, and the practice of forgiveness toward one another. Let us foster harmony within our homes and actively support our communities, striving together towards the collective peace and development of our beloved Oyo State and Nigeria.

May this Ramadan bring healing to our land, prosperity to our nation, and renewed strength to every family. May Allah accept our fasting, forgive our shortcomings, and bestow upon us peace, stability, and sustainable growth.
