The OTOPE Foundation, a humanitarian service organisation founded by Hon. Dr. Temitope Oladimeji (OTOPE), has announced the commencement of a free online voter registration exercise for residents of Ona-Ara and Egbeda Local Government Areas who are 18 years and above and do not yet have a Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC).

This initiative, fully sponsored by the Foundation in line with the ongoing registration process of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), is aimed at ensuring that every eligible resident of Ona-Ara and Egbeda has the opportunity to register and be part of the democratic process.

The exercise will cover all 11 wards in Ona-Ara Local Government, beginning on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 8:00 AM with:

Ward 5: Community Grammar School, Amuloko

Ward 7: Elekuro High School, Abonde

Beyond this initiative, the OTOPE Foundation has a track record of meaningful community impact — from providing scholarships and school materials to students, facilitating health outreach programmes, supporting small business owners with empowerment schemes, and offering relief packages to vulnerable households. These efforts reflect the Foundation’s consistent dedication to uplifting lives and building a stronger community.

According to Hon. Dr. Temitope Oladimeji, “democracy can only thrive when every eligible citizen has access to the ballot. This voter registration drive is our way of ensuring that no one in Egbeda/ Ona-Ara Federal Constituency is left behind simply because they don’t have a PVC.”

The programme will continue until all the wards in the local government have been reached and further extend to Egbeda Local government in due time.
