The Sports Festival organized for public Primary School Pupils in Ido local government came to an end on Friday, November 29th, with the executive chairman, Sheriff Adeojo’s sports House, winning the football and track competitions.

The sporting event for the school pupils was organized by the Ido local government under the administration of Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo in conjunction with the National Association of Primary School Game and Sports Teachers NAPSGAST, Ido LG branch.

Pupils across the Ido local government
showcased their talents and skills in various sports at the Government Community High School, Ido, the venue of the sports event.

Adeojo said the concluded sports festival, which featured track and field events, is aimed at catching talented pupils young; he said the competition would produce an all-around development of individuals, young learners, and growing adults because it improves the psychomotor domain of education.

The council chairman explained that,
apart from the mental and academic importance, sports also help in socialization and patriotism and support the pupils in developing as well as fine-tuning their psychomotor skills with dexterity.

Adeojo, whose sporting House ( Yellow House ) won both football and track competitions, congratulated all the winners and advised those who did not win to believe in themselves and be hopeful they can do better next year. He also charged them not to rest on their oars but to work hard to improve in the next festival. He emphasized the need to discover new sports t

alents through the festival, saying it will contribute to sports development in Ido local government as well as the state as a whole.

He extended heartfelt appreciation to the event partner NAPSGAST, all the school’s management, and parents, whose generosity and support made the event possible in the local government.
