Former Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission(NCC), Professor Adeolu Akande has extended congratulatory message to Christians on the Ester celebrations.
In a Easter message released in Ibadan, Professor Akande noted that the season highlights the importance of sacrifice in the relationship between God and man as well as the need to extend love to one another.
Prof Akande noted that the Lent period exemplifies the importance of sacrifice in man’s relationship with God to grow discipline and faith.
He noted that the celebrations after the fasting period highlights that after every difficult time is a period of comfort.
‘This teaches a lesson in our lives as humans. It shows that no hard times lasts for ever,even in the lives of nations.
He noted that Nigerians should relate this lesson to Nigeria’s national life where the initiatives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are beginning to change the fortune of the country and the common man.
He also highlighted the lesson of love in the season noting the utmost love demonstrated by Lord Jesus Christ by sacrificing his life for the redemption of mankind.
‘This is the highest level of sacrifice and love that anyone could make. It teaches us not only to sacrifice but also to love one another.
Professor Akande prays for peace and unity in Nigeria even as he admonished the citizens to support the Tinubu Administration in its quest to make the country a better place for all.
