Former Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission(NCC), Professor Adeolu Akande, has commended the leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Oyo State for the renewed unity in the party.

 

Professor Akande made the commendation at the sidelines of the stakeholders meeting of the the party at the state secretariat in Ibadan today.

 

The stakeholders of the party drawn from former holders of government offices,former holders of party offices and elders of the party met in Ibadan where they resolved to bury their differences and work collectively for the victory of the party in future elections.

 

The party members at the meeting endorsed the candidacy of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term and also expressed the determination that the party would not only win the 2027 presidential election i. Thbut would also ensure that no other party secures 25 percent of the votes in the state.

 

Commenting at the sidelines of the meeting,Professor Akande noted that the massive turn out of gladiators of the party at the meeting is an indication that peace and unity have returned to the APC in Oyo State.

Professor Akande also noted that the expressions of commitment to the unity and progress of the party by party leaders is a further demonstration that the APC is ready to return to power in the state.

 

Professor Akande praised President Tinubu for the fatherly and decisive steps he took that has brought the party members together in the state. He.also commended wife of the former Governor of the state, Chief (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi for her untiring efforts to bring the party together.

 

He praised the elders and generality of the membership of the party for their readiness to resolve their differences and work for the return of the party to the part of victory in the state.
