The renowned publisher of The Street Journal and President of the Association of Online Media Practitioners of Nigeria, AMPON, Mogaji Wole Arisekola; the CEO of Afia Construction and Building Engineering, Mogaji Abdul-Jelil Adekunle Khareem (Adanla) and others joined Dr Saheed Adetunbi of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso at the eighth day Fidau prayers for his late father in Ibadan on Wednesday 6th Match, 2024.

Alhaji Muritala Adeniyi Ayinde Adetunbi, aka Alhaji Total, passed away on Wednesday 28th February, 2024. He died at the age of 81.

The event held at Sablack Events Centre, Sanyo, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ibadan, also had in attendance top personalities religion, political, business as well as academic and social circles.

In the course of the Fidau, a very deep and powerful sermon was delivered by a highly revered Islamic scholar and Chief Imam of Offa, Sheikh Muyideen Salman.

After the Fidau session, guests were treated in a very colorful reception where all to eat and to drink, except alcoholic, were made available in abundant.

It was indeed a celebration of life well spent of ‘Alhaji Total’, as the deceased was fondly called. Family, friends and associates really came out em mass to support Dr Saheed Adetunbi and his siblings.

The massive turnout also confirmed Dr Saheed Adetunbi’s warm and lovable personality.

Amongst other A-list guests at the Fidau program include former Oyo South senator, Soji Akanbi; a legal icon, Chief Bolaji Ayorinde SAN; former Rep member Ibadan Northwest/Southwest, Hon. Saheed Fijabi; the representative of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Mohood Olalekan Balogun; Mogaji Abass Oloko; P.A to Governor Seyi Makinde, Alhaji Akeem Azeez; Hon. Akeem Ige (Ige Again); Oyo NUJ Chairman, Comrade Ademola Babalola and his powerful entourage.

Also on the roll call are the Dagunja of Egbaland and incumbent lawmaker representing Abeokuta State Constituency, Hon. Atobatele Lukman Olajide; an ally of Governor Seyi Makinde, Hon. Babatunde Tijani (Double T); Dr Morohunkola Thomas, and Chief Waheed Ekun.

Others are Oloye Taiwo Akande; Prof Tunde Fawole, former Rector, the Polytechnic Ibadan, and Alhaji Arisekola Abiodun of Abbey and Sons Electronics.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), LAUTECH chapter was also well represented at the Fidau.
