The All Progressives Congress (APC) Oyo State Woman Leader, Dr. Adekemi Felicia Opatunde, on March 24, 2026, convened her maiden strategic meeting with the 33 Local Government Women Leaders and Senatorial Women Leaders across the state.

During the meeting, Dr. Opatunde charged the leaders to embrace unity, discipline, and purposeful grassroots mobilization as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.
She emphasized that women are natural problem solvers and urged them to resist actions that could create division within the party. Instead, she encouraged constructive engagement in resolving grievances rather than abandoning the party during challenging moments.

She also acknowledged the stabilizing role of Florence Ajimobi, describing her as a strong and unifying force who continues to support women across the party structure in Oyo State.

Dr. Opatunde further highlighted the importance of respecting the party hierarchyโfrom Ward Women Leaders to Local Government and Senatorial Women Leaders, up to the State leadership.
She encouraged regular ward-level meetings, inclusive leadership, and fairness in distributing opportunities among members.

In addition, she urged leaders to intensify mobilization efforts within their constituencies, identify capable female aspirants for elective positions, and assess areas where the party previously performed poorly, so as to develop effective strategies ahead of the elections.

Reaffirming confidence in the partyโs strength, she called for sustained loyalty to party decisions and appealed to leaders to support all candidates emerging from the primaries. She also reiterated her support for the leadership of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
