PHOTOS: Oyo Deputy Gov, Ladoja, others attend De-Damak’s installation as Aare of Ibadanland 
The Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Mohood Olalekan Balogun, on Monday, installed Dawud Makanjuola Akinola, the Aare Musulumi Of Yorubaland, Edo & Delta States, as the new Aare of Ibadanland.
The first class royal father equally conferred his wife, Alhaja Mariam Olubukola Akinola with the Chieftaincy title of Yeye Aare of Ibadanland at his residence in Iwo road.
The event which was attended by the Deputy Governor of Oyo state, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, also had in attendance several dignitaries including former Governor of Oyo state, Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja; Member House of Representatives, Ido Ibarapa Federal Constituency, Hon. Remi Oseni, Oyo Deputy Speaker, Fadeyi Abiodun; Governor Seyi Makinde’s ally, Otunba Seye Famojuro and Double T and Senator Soji Akanbi.
Speaking about the honor done him, Alhaji Akinola expressed his profound gratitude to Olubadan of Ibadanland and the Ibadan in Council for deeming it fit to install him as the next Aare of Ibadanland.
De-damark equally appreciated the Deputy Governor of Oyo state, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal for gracing the occasion despite his busy schedule.
He extolled Barr. Lawal’s virtues, stating that he remains one of the best Deputy Governor Oyo state ever had.
He said: “The Deputy Governor of Oyo state, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal has always been supportive and has been relating with everyone with pure mind.
“He is one of the best governor we’ve ever had in the history of Oyo state. He’s humble and constantly treats everyone with kindness and humility.
“I pray Allah will continue to strengthen your smooth relationship with your boss, Seyi Makinde”.
The newly installed Aare of Ibadanland equally lauded the sterling leadership of Governor Makinde, adding that since the Governor assumed office, the good people of Oyo state have been enjoying his good governance and Oyo state has continued to witness his developmental stride in the state.
Among those who also attended the event include Baba Adini of Oyo state, Abdul-Hameed Ajadi; Baba Isale Musulumi of Ibadanland, Baba Arole Iba Lawal Akande; Gov. Makinde’s Persona assistant, Alhaji Akeem Azeez; SSA to Oyo Governor on LG and Chieftaincy matters, Hon. Ramota Agberemi Dabo; Chairman Agric Credit, Alhaji Taofik Akewugbagold; Oluyole PDP Chairmanship Candidate, Akeem Olatunji; Former Special Adviser on LG and Chieftaincy Matters; Adeniyi Adeyinka Kazeem and Hon. Lukman Olajide.
Others were market leaders including Alhaji YK Abass; Princess Folashade Abeo; Ibadan mogajis; traditional leaders; representatives of Muslim societies; Islamic clerics and other well wishers.
