Oyo West local government turns to the atmosphere of Joy as the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) celebrates a New Year get-together party for its members as directed by the State leadership of the party to enjoy themselves to the fullest.

The event which was held at A.U.D Primary School, Bola, Oyo township had in attendance Oyo East/West Lawmaker, Olorunpoto Rahaman Cephas, Leaders, stakeholders, faithful members, and others.

In his speech, Oyo West PDP party Chairman, Alhaji Sarafadeen Oyedele Oloyo applauded the executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde for putting smiles on the faces of the party faithful. He stressed further to commend the state party secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke for ensuring that the local government tiers are not neglected on the New Year get-together party saying that all politics is local.

Oloyo emphatically stated that the New Year party was organized across the 33 local governments in the state to make the faithful members enjoy themselves to the fullest.

The party chairman also appreciated the support of Prince Olukitibi/Nureni Alade’s liberation agenda towards the development of the council area, as well as Constituency lawmaker, Olorunpoto Rahaman Cephas for putting the party first in his legislative prowess.

In his keynote address, Oyo East and West State Constituency Lawmaker, Hon Olorunpoto Rahaman Cephas commended the party faithful, ward executives, local executives, leaders, and stakeholders for making Oyo West People’s Democratic Party bound in peace and unity.

He applauded Governor Engr Seyi Makinde for continuously taking the welfare of the party as the highest priority. He lauded the council Boss Prince Salam Akeem Olukitibi and Hon. Nureni Alade for promoting good governance at the grassroots level noting that the legislature and his constituenwelfarerism remain the top-notch of his legislative prowess.

In his speech, the Oyo Southwest political head, Hon. Nureni Alade Eleniyan commended the Governor for putting smiles on the faces of the party faithful. He lauded the support of Sen. Monsurat Olajumoke Sunmonu in promoting good governance at all costs.

Alade urged the members not to relent in their efforts towards coasting home massive victory in the forthcoming local government elections in the model council.

In their separate comments, Leader Alhaji Basiru Adeyanju, and Alhaji Isiaka Adebayo commend the executive Governor Engr Seyi Makinde, State PDP executive, and the Oyo West Council Boss Olukitibi/Alade, for the get-together party. They described the new year as an era of positive transformation, good policies in tackling economic prosperity, and a new dawn aimed at bringing a good future.

Speaking on behalf of the women’s constituency, Oyo Central women leaders, Mrs. Rafiyat Onilenla applauded the Governor for her kind gesture and commended the state executive for giving women the necessary support at all times.

In his remarks, the Executive Chairman of Oyo West local government, Hon Salam Akeem Babatunde Olukitibi expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Governor of Oyo State for his strategic step toward hosting a get-together for the party members across the 33 local governments in the state.

He said; “On behalf of the entire Citizens of Oyo West, we appreciate the Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, for the rare opportunity given to Oyo West, as the number leader of the party in pacesetter State chosen Fashola Agribusiness Hub for his birthday celebration party last year, where the council host His Excellency for three days in Fashola, we’re indeed grateful for this opportunity”.

He further used the medium to urge the aggrieved members to sheathe their swords and join the winning squad saying the next administration door is widely open for everyone in terms of dividends of democracy across the board.

Olukitibi assured the members that his continuity agenda will further bring fortune to the party members in reflection on the sustainable development agenda of His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde.

He lauded the leaders, stakeholders, and faithful party members for their continuous support for the party, assuring that next year’s get-together party will be colorful.
