The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ward Six, Oje Owode, Saki-East Local Government Area of Oyo State, has expelled Deacon Kolajo Abimbola following allegations of conduct deemed detrimental to the party’s unity and integrity.

The decision, reached during a ward meeting held on May 6, 2025, was endorsed by 16 ward executives, two local government officers, and two ward elders. According to a communiqué released after the meeting, Deacon Kolajo was accused of multiple anti-party activities and financial misconduct.
Deacon Kolajo Abimbola deliberately mobilized against the party’s general meeting held on February 19, 2025, in Ago-Amodu. Furthermore, on May 1, instead of attending the all-inclusive general meeting in Sepeteri, he organized a carnival with his people wearing WHITE T-SHIRTS, singing series of destructive songs while expecting the arrival of a reconciliation committee set up by His Excellency the Deputy Governor of Oyo State.

The ward also cited Deacon Kolajo’s prolonged absence from local meetings, despite his efforts to present himself as a high-level party stakeholder. More seriously, he was accused of failing to account for funds allocated for agent mobilization and logistics during the last local government elections.

“In light of these repeated breaches of party trust and accountability, the ward executive committee has resolved to expel Deacon Kolajo Abimbola from the party and has forwarded the decision to the local and state PDP chapters for affirmation,” the communiqué stated.

Signatories to the resolution include:
Azeez Isiaka (Ward Chairman)
Omotosho Paul (Ward Elder)
Jimoh Salami (Ward Elder)
The PDP leadership in the ward emphasized that the expulsion is part of a broader effort to reinforce party discipline and uphold core values ahead of future electoral engagements.
