PDP resilient, has unity of purpose, OYSMDA DG, Oni lauds peaceful conduct of LG Congress in Olorunsogo LG

Director-General of the Oyo State Minerals Development Agency, Okunrin Jeje Abiodun Oni, has hailed the resilience of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Olorunsogo Local Government, Igbeti.

Oni, who gave this indication recently while commending the peaceful and smooth conduct of the wards and local government congresses of the PDP held in Igbeti, praised the party’s leaders and stakeholders for displaying maturity and sense of responsibility during the exercise.

According to Oni, the peaceful outcome of the process is evidence of the resilience of the PDP family in Olorunsogo Local Government and an indication that the party will continue to succeed in future electoral endeavours.
Earlier, while speaking during the LG congress, Okunrin Jeje Oni expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the congress and particularly hailed party stakeholders for what he described as unity of purpose.

He charged the newly-elected PDP Wards and Local Government Executives to be more committed and dedicated to the growth of the party and the well-being of its members.

Similarly, elder statesman and foremost chieftain of the PDP, Chief J.G. Adetoro had, while congratulating the newly-

elected ward and local government executives, charged them to see their emergence as a call to service, urging them to embrace inclusivity, fairness, and dedication in their responsibilities.

“The task before the new ward and local government leadership is enormous. They must serve as unifying pillars, mobilisers, and true representatives of the aspirations of our people,” Chief Adetoro said.

The Executive Chairman of Olorunsogo Local Government, Hon. Qozeem Olayanju, also expressed delight with the commitment of party faithful to the congress and sued for continued support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration, while urging the newly-elected wards and local government executive officers not to disappoint the confidence reposed in them by members of the party in the local government.
