The GSMists, a support group aligned with Governor Seyi Makinde has lauded the national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party under what they described as the Turaki-led administration, for embracing innovation and digital transformation in party administration.

The group described the move as a bold and strategic step towards strengthening internal democracy, enhancing transparency and repositioning the party for future electoral victories. They noted that the adoption of digital registration reflects the party’s readiness to align with global best practices in data management and electoral compliance.
The GSMists further commended the National Working Committee for keying into what they termed the “Data, Logic and Science” governance philosophy of Seyi Makinde. According to the group, Governor Makinde’s governance model, which emphasizes evidence-based decision-making, transparency and measurable results, has become a reference point within the party and beyond.

They stressed that digitising the membership register would not only ensure compliance with the law but also provide accurate data for strategic planning, mobilisation and policy direction ahead of future elections.

While urging members and supporters across the country and global to actively participate in the exercise, The GSMists expressed confidence that the PDP would emerge stronger and more united through the initiative.
The group also assured Nigerians of their continued support for the party’s reform agenda and prayed for the victory of the PDP in the 2027 general elections, stating that Nigerians are eager for a people-focused alternative to what they described as the anti-people policies of the ruling APC government.

They concluded by calling on party faithful at all levels to cooperate fully with the registration committee to ensure a smooth, credible and successful digital membership drive nationwide.
