…As Inspection tour highlights exceptional staff commitment and infrastructure development across Oke Ogun healthcare facilities

The Oyo State Hospitals Management Board (OYSHMB) has expressed deep appreciation to the management and staff of four key hospitals in the Oke Ogun zone for their unwavering commitment to delivering quality healthcare to the people of Oyo State.
During a recent inspection tour, the Board commended the leadership and frontline workers at State Hospital, Saki; General Hospital, Iseyin; General Hospital, Okaka; and General Hospital, Ago Are, for their warm reception and for maintaining high standards of service delivery.

State Hospital, Saki received special praise for the successful establishment and efficient management of a new psychiatric ward, marking a significant step forward in the state’s mental health service delivery.

The Board described the effort as “a commendable contribution to an often-overlooked area of healthcare.”
At General Hospital, Iseyin, the Board acknowledged ongoing renovation works across critical wards — including male, female, maternity, pediatric, and physiotherapy departments.
The upgrades, it said, have significantly improved the hospital’s capacity to meet patient needs and deliver holistic care.

General Hospital, Okaka and General Hospital, Ago Are were also recognized for their vital roles in community-level healthcare delivery.
The Board applauded their operational efficiency and the dedication of their healthcare workers, who continue to serve in rural communities with limited resources.
Speaking on behalf of the Board, a spokesperson emphasized the importance of strong collaboration between management and frontline staff to actualize the Oyo State Government’s health agenda under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde.
“We are proud of the efforts and dedication we witnessed at these facilities. It is evident that with continued support and coordination, we can further strengthen healthcare delivery across Oyo State,” the statement read.
The Board assured health workers of its continued commitment to improving working conditions, infrastructure, and service delivery in all public health institutions across the state.
