The Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board, led by Executive Chairman Dr. Akin Fagbemi, has paid an inspection visit to the State Hospital, Oyo.
During the visit, Dr. Fagbemi commended the acting Chief Medical Director, Dr. Rasheedat Gasaal, and her team for their exceptional work, particularly in ensuring the security of staff and patients.
Dr. Fagbemi also inspected the ongoing construction of an 18-bedded Children’s ward, which is being built under the hospital autonomy initiative introduced by Governor Oluseyi Makinde to enhance healthcare services in the state.
The chairman encouraged the hospital management to continue improving the facility’s security architecture, assuring them of the board’s support.
In her response, Dr. Gasaal expressed gratitude to Governor Makinde for his supportive leadership and to Dr. Fagbemi for his guidance. She promised that the Children’s ward would be completed and ready for commissioning within the next few months.
The visit was attended by several top officials, including the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Anifat Ibraheem; Director of Medical Services, Dr. Femi Adesanya; and Director of Nursing Services, Mrs. Eyitayo Ayoola.
