Oyo State PDP Youths Trash Oyo ALGON Mercilessly in Oyo Youth Agency Novelty Match

In a thrilling novelty football match organized by the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development to mark one year of impactful youth empowerment, the PDP Youths team delivered a dominant performance, defeating ALGON 3-0.

The match, held in high spirits, saw Idris Olalekan Clever open the scoring with a brilliant goal. Adelayo Adejare, Councillor representing Ibadan South West Ward 3, extended the lead with a powerful finish, while Waliyu Oluyedun sealed the victory with a third goal in the second half.

Hon. Michael Ogunsina, captain of the PDP Youths, expressed delight at his team’s outstanding performance, praising their discipline and unity on the pitch. The winning strategy was credited to Coach Wasiu Sulaimon Olamilekan, popularly known as “Okaa Baaba,” whose tactical brilliance guided the team to an emphatic victory.

In his remarks, the Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Alhaji Wasiu Adewumi Adeleke, lauded the youths, stating that their performance exceeded expectations and gave them kudos for their efforts both on and off the field.
