The lawmaker representing Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency, Rep. Abass Adigun (Agboworin), has congratulated Hon. Saheed Fijabi, a former member of the House, representing Ibadan North West/South West, on his appointment as the Chairman, Oyo State @50 Anniversary Planning Committee by the Oyo State Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
He also felicitated with the Vice Chairman and the immediate former Head of Service of the state, Alhaja Alolade Agboola, and other members of the Committee.
He described the appointment as a commitment to politics of inclusivity.
According to the lawmaker, in a statement made available by his Media Group, following the inauguration of the committee which was held at the Secretariat, Governor Makinde’s leadership style is built on the principles of unity, fairness and merit.
He noted further that the appointment portrays the governor’s dedication to bringing people together and harnessing their collective talents for the greater good of Oyo State.
The lawmaker expressed confidence in Fijabi’s leadership, saying it would bring a fresh perspective and energy to the committee, thereby ensuring the success of Oyo State 50th Anniversary celebrations.
He, however, wished Fijabi well in his new role and pledged his support for the success of the celebrations.
