Oyo Rep Member, Agboworin, Congratulates Makinde As Gov Bags Leadership Newspaper ‘Governor Of The Year’ Award

Member representing the Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency, Rep Abass Adigun, popularly known as Agboworin, has congratulated the governor of Oyo State, ‘Seyi Makinde, on the ‘Governor of the Year 2023’ award conferred on him by the management of the Leadership Newspaper.

The organisation, on Tuesday, awarded the governor in Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, in recognition of his numerous contributions across all sectors and massive infrastructural development in the State.

Agboworin, who is the Chairman of the House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, noted in a congratulatory message personally signed and made available to journalists in Ibadan, that the award has, once again, confirmed the governor’s dedication to his promise and commitment to improving the lives of the people through infrastructural development.

He noted that he was particularly excited that his principal got the recognition for the numerous landmark achievements he has brought to the state in the last few years, saying: “the works have not gone unnoticed.”

The lawmaker, while further describing the governor as a real progressive leader and man of the people, whose credibility is tested and trusted, saluted him for making the state a model for good governance for others.

He equally commended the Management of the Leadership Newspaper for the recognition done on the governor which, according to him, would go along way in encouraging the governor to do more for the people of Pacesetter state.

The statement read, ‘I am quite elated and impressed to see my principal, Governor Seyi Makinde, receive the Leadership Newspaper Governor of the Year 2023 award, which is well deserved.

“Undoubtedly, this is a confirmation that you have not only redefined leadership and governance in our state but have also made the state a model for good governance. All the developments and contributions to liberate the state have not gone unnoticed.

“The Management of the Leadership Newspaper has done well in selecting you for this position, which I believe will spur you to do more. As you always say: ‘the reward for hardworking is more work’. So, as the governor of the state, I know you are still willing to work more for the people of the state.

“Your generosity and popularity have earned you this award, which I will, once again, say it is well-deserved. My Governor, I know you will continue to do well for our people and not let them down at any time. Thank you so much.”
