In line with the constitution of the Party, the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party in Oyo State has approved the appointment of Hon. Ademuyiwa Mustapha as the acting Chairman of the People Democratic Party in Ibadan North Local Government after the resignation of Mr. Seun Morounfolu Adelore.
It could be recalled that Mr. Seun Morounfolu Adelore has resigned his membership of the Party on Sunday. Adelore, prior to his resignation, has been reported for negligence of duties, gross violations of the constitution of the Party, he has also gone away without official leave(AWOL)
Mr. Adelore caught the whiffs of the Party’s decision to wield the big stick against him after series of warnings from the Party’s leadership and decided to resign his membership to save his face.
Regardless of his gross incompetence, the stakeholders were smart enough to salvage the party and ensure stability of its structures. The erstwhile Chairman failed to coordinate the affairs of Party by abandoning it for more than one year.
In a statement released to the newsmen in Ibadan by the State Acting Publicity Secretary of the Party in Oyo State, Mr. Ogunsina Micheal, congratulated Mr Mustapha and implored him to use his new office to chart a new course for the Party in the local government. He urged the new Party chairman to work with other relevant stakeholders to deliver the PDP candidate in the forthcoming bye- election in August 16th.
The Party reiterated its commitment to discipline and strict adherence to the constitution of the Party at all levels and petition as well as warning from the party leadership regarding the conduct and of ther former chairman.
