Olayiwola congratulates newly elected local government chairmen, urging commitment to Governor Seyi Makinde’s Road Map.
The Honorable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Honourable Olusegun Olayiwola, extends his heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected chairmen and councilors across all 33 local government areas.
In a statement released Monday, Olayiwola described the victory as a testament to their hard work, dedication, and commitment to serving their local government, especially the returning Chairmen.
He added that all elected chairmen should remember that with great responsibility comes great expectations and urged them not to betray the trust placed in them. He emphasized that It is now their duty to lead with integrity, transparency, and accountability.
Olayiwola expressed confidence in their ability to serve with distinction, especially the newly elected chairmen joining the ranks of the progressive team that has embarked on a journey to effect positive change and uplift the lives of those at the grassroots in line with Governor Seyi Makinde’s Road Map for Sustainable Development.
