The Chairman of the Oyo State House of Assembly Committee on Health, Hon. Saminu Riliwan Gbadamosi, popularly known as Wale Canada, has extolled Governor Seyi Makinde for what he described as six remarkable years of visionary, impactful, and people-centered leadership.

Hon. Wale Canada, who represents the Atisbo/Saki East State Constituency, lauded the Governor’s unwavering commitment to good governance, infrastructure development, and far-reaching reforms across key sectors such as education, healthcare, and the economy. He noted that the administration has significantly elevated the standard of living and expanded opportunities for the people of Oyo State.
According to the lawmaker, “Governor Seyi Makinde has written his name in gold. The people of Oyo State will never forget his record of performance. His administration has been a beacon of hope and progress, and history will remember him kindly.”

He further described Governor Makinde as “the principal of all governments in the history of Oyo State,” highlighting the unprecedented achievements of his administration in terms of infrastructure renewal, social welfare programs, and fiscal responsibility.


Hon. Wale Canada emphasized that the inclusive policies and transparent governance under Makinde have restored public trust in democratic leadership, making his tenure a reference point for future administrations.

He concluded by expressing confidence that the next phase of the Makinde administration will build on its strong foundations, and called on all stakeholders to continue supporting the government in its mission to deliver a more prosperous and united Oyo State.
