In a remarkable show of grassroots leadership, Hon. (Mrs.) Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi-Olajide, member representing Ibadan North Constituency I in the Oyo State House of Assembly, has launched a massive community development campaign across her constituency—spanning Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and beyond.
As part of her commitment to improving the lives of her people, Hon. Comforter embark on rehabilitation of several borehole water projects to tackle the persistent issue of water scarcity, and solar power installations to light up public spaces and support small-scale businesses across various communities.
The projects have brought immediate relief to residents, with many describing the initiative as “life-changing.”
“Before now, we used to trek long distances to fetch water, especially during dry season. But since this borehole came, life has been easier,” said Mr. Tomori Kazeem, (IYAN) a resident of Ward 1.
“May God bless Hon. Comforter. She didn’t forget us.”
Beyond the boreholes and solar lights, Hon. Comforter has also continued her advocacy for inclusive governance, ensuring that persons with disabilities (PWDs), youths, and women are not left behind in the development process.
Community leaders, religious bodies, and youth groups have praised her efforts, noting that she is a “true representative of the people.”
Hon. Comforter reaffirmed her dedication during a recent inspection tour:
“This is just the beginning. I am determined to continue delivering the dividends of democracy to every corner of our constituency.”
As the August 16th bye-election approaches, her ongoing projects have further strengthened the trust and confidence the people have in her leadership and People Democratic Party Administration in Oyo State under capable leadership of His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde FNSE.
