A lawmaker in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Babalola Abiodun, PhD, has successfully rehabilitated the entrance gate of St. Peter Anglican Primary School I and II, located in Aremo, Ibadan. The gesture is part of his ongoing commitment to improving educational infrastructure and ensuring a safe learning environment for pupils.

The newly rehabilitated gate, now reinforced with durable materials and improved security features, was unveiled during a brief commissioning event attended by teachers, parents, and members of the Aremo community. The initiative was widely applauded by stakeholders who described it as timely and necessary.
Hon. Babalola, while addressing the gathering, noted that the project was borne out of his desire to create a more secure and conducive atmosphere for learning. According to him, the safety and wellbeing of schoolchildren must be prioritized in any meaningful education reform.

“This gate may seem like a small project, but it carries a big message. Our children deserve a safe, structured environment that encourages focus and pride in their school,” he said.

Community leaders and school officials expressed gratitude to the lawmaker for what they described as a long-awaited intervention. Mrs. Adebayo, Secretary of the Parents Teachers Association, commended the quality of work done and assured continued cooperation with the lawmaker in future development efforts.

The project is one of several initiatives Hon. Babalola has undertaken in his constituency, with plans already underway for the rehabilitation of classrooms, improvement of sanitation facilities, and provision of educational materials in other public schools.
Residents of Aremo praised the lawmaker for his consistent grassroots efforts, describing him as a representative who listens and responds to the needs of the people.
