Oyo Lawmaker, AKT Lifts Jenriyin Community With Cash, Assures Govt Intervention On Deplorable Road

Lawmaker representing Lagelu State Constituency, Hon Olajide Akintunde AKT in his kind heart has contributed to the development of one of the communities in hia constituency.

AKT in his love and support for community development donated cash to Jenriyin joint Landlord/Landlady’s association.

Earlier in their different request, the residents Jenriyin within Lagelu local government seek for the rehabilitation of their dilapidated road, which has been a nightmare for users and the people of the community for a long time.

The residents stressed that they have been witnessing high cost in commodities as a result of their bad road, noting that it is very stressful, difficult and costly for traders to convey goods from market down to the point of their sales.

“We don’t want your money or rice, help us to take our issue of our road to the hear of the governor. we are facing a lot of problem coming home from work whenever there’s an heavy rain downpour, most of the time we’ll sleep at work or at a friend’s place till the following day.

“We’re buying expensive commodities here due to the state of the road that link the community, our traders are undergoing lots of stress and paying unbearable amount before they can move their goods from market down here for selling” – Residents complained.

In his remarks, the president of the six zones added that anytime there’s heavy downpour of rain, every car owners will pack at the nearest filling station to the community because water would have overflow the bridge that links Kute to Jenriyin Community together due to the bad state of the road and lack of good drainage.

In his response, Hon AKT commends people living in that axis for their perseverance, patience and the act of patriotism they have displayed, he also acknowledged the pains that the community residents are going through stressed that he has raised motions on the road twice in a week which has never occur at the floor of the house.

He added that the road from Wofun junction to Kute and Jenriyin was in the budget and it has been approved by the governor , said work will commence there very soon.

“I’m aware of the pains you’ve being going through along this axis, I want to make something clear to you that I’ve taken the issue of this road to the floor of the house and I repeated the motion twin in a week which has never happened before and I sponsored news on it as well.

“I’m standing before you to assure you that by the special grace of God before my second term tenure ends the road will be done.”- Hon AKT said
