The wife of Oyo Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Ajibola Lawal, has felicitated with Mama Victoria Bamijoko Adesola on the occasion of her 90th birthday anniversary.

Mrs Lawal, who was in company of Mrs Yeye Adenike at a thanksgiving ceremony on Monday in Lagos, admonished people to celebrate the living while eulogizing Mama Adesola for her impactful life.

She noted that honouring parents while they are still living will help them live longer and make a positive contribution to society, praying for good health and long life for the celebrant.

“I’ve come to rejoice with the Adesola family for the abundant life that God has bestowed upon our beloved mother, who serves as the family matriarch.

“People celebrate their parents when they are gone but mama has witnessed this celebration and we will continue to celebrate with her and by the time the giver of life will call her to Heaven, she will know that she will be well celebrated.

“I thank God for your life and for all the struggles that you went through and survived.

“It is our prayer that God will continue to bless you with longer life and good health,” Chief Ajibola Lawal prayed.

Mama Adesola, who was a teacher, public servant and politician, married to her late husband, Mr David Adeleke Adesola in 1955 and blessed with six children and Great grand children.

Mama would often say, “I don’t want to miss heaven,” demonstrating her steadfast belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and her confession of Him as her Lord and Saviour,” said one of her children.
