The Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Oyo State, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, has congratulated Agbaakin Benedict Akika on his recent award from the Central Council of Ibadan Indigene (CCII).
Oyedele described the award as “well-deserved” and praised Akika’s contributions to the development of Ibadan. He said, “Agbaakin Benedict Akika is a worthy recipient of this award, and I am delighted to see him recognized for his efforts.”
The CCII award is given annually to individuals who have made significant contributions to the growth and development of Ibadan. Akika, a renowned community leader and philanthropist, was honored for his selfless service to the people of Ibadan.
Oyedele, who is also the Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, commended the CCII for promoting Ibadan’s cultural heritage and unity. He said, “The CCII has once again demonstrated its commitment to celebrating our city’s rich history and traditions.”
Akika, who was visibly elated by the recognition, thanked the CCII and Oyedele for the honor. He pledged to continue working for the progress and prosperity of Ibadan.
The award presentation was attended by dignitaries from various sectors, including government officials, traditional leaders, and community stakeholders.
