Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana, the chairman of Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, has inspected a non-profit and non-governmental organization in Ibadan, Mother and Girl-Child Protection Initiative (MAGI), a skills acquisition centre owned by Alhaja Adijat Malik, in empowering the youth, especially the Girl-Child, on the gender equality empowerment mantra.

MAGI is centered on vocational skills acquisition training in equipping youth with the necessary skills to navigate the modern world.

In a statement released and made available to newsmen by the head of the Media Unit to the Chairman, Opeyemi Rasheed Socrates, Hon. Adebowale commended the CEO of Mother and Girl-Child Protection Initiative (MAGI) for their personal contributions to gender equality in Pacesetter State thereby contributing to Oyo State Agency for Youth Development advocacy in youth empowerment, mobilisations, guidance and counseling, leadership development and entrepreneurship emancipation and empowerments.

He lauded the structural design edifice of the training centers vis-a-vis sectional placement of different training skills in terms of digital skills, fashion designing, Catering, Hairdressing, make-up, gele, and several others. Urging MAGI to register as an NGO under the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development.

While applauding the executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde’s efforts to empower Girl-Child as well as promote their education, health, protection, tailored with vocational skills acquisition and other relevant tech-driven techniques in meeting up with modern standards.

“We’re here today to inspect this facilities based on the sustainable legacy of His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde, with the support of stakeholders Girl-Child Protection Initiative can make a meaningful impact on the lives of the beneficiaries, tailored with the necessary materials here today, it shows you’ve uplifted thousands of Girl-Child in meeting up with the modern standards”

Adebowale, however, promised to partner with them on vocational skills acquisition to enlighten the youth, especially Girl-Child Protection in Pacesetter State.

According to him, participants will be rolled out to the MAGI; thereafter, after their training, individuals will carve their business name and register with CAC. The next stage of action will be official registration with SMEDAN under the small and medium scale enterprises for them to get access to soft loans and grants to boost their businesses.

In her remarks, Alhaja Adijat Malik, the CEO of Mother and Girl-Child Protection Initiative, Ibadan, applauded the Oyo State government through the State Agency for Youth Development for recognizing her training centers as well as efforts put together in empowering the Girl-Child towards fulfilling gender equality in Pacesetter State.

According to her; Mother and Girl-Child Protection Initiative (MAGI) a non-profi, non governmental initiative is a renowned specialized NGOs in giving empowering the youth on digital skills, vocational skills acquisition, granting scholarship around school most especially our girls on useful living, paying school fees for so many years with good testimony from the beneficiaries across the zone in Oyo State.

She urged for long-term meaningful collaborations in vocational skills in addressing challenges faced by the Girl Child.

The Agency for Youth Chairman and his entourage inspected different sessions of Girl-Child training facilities and were satisfied with the facilities provided to equip the centres.
